Chechnya wants to scrap federal grants

Chechen Leader Ramzan Kadyrov says that the goal of the region is to
move away from the system of federal grants, Yuga.ru reports.

Kadyrov said that one corrupt functionary casts a shadow of mistrust
on all. He warned that violations will be followed with trials.

At a meeting with Chechen Interior Minister Ruslan Alkhanov, Kadyrov
called for criminal cases to be initiated for corruption, regardless
of a functionary's status.
