President of Russia establishes special human resources office for law enforcement bodies
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaRussian President Dmitry Medvedev has established a commission on re-certification of the law enforcement bodies. The new body will use the experience of police reform, and will be headed by Sergei Naryshkin.
On March 1, 2011 the President of the Russian Federation established the Commission for certification of senior executive officials in the law enforcement bodies. The work of the commission involved officials of the Presidential Administration, Ministry of Internal Affairs, Federal Security Service, Prosecutor General's Office, Investigation Committee, Federal Financial Monitoring Service, as well as representatives of civil society. The commission will complete its work on August 1.
On July 29 Dmitry Medvedev signed a decree establishing the Commission under the President of the Russian Federation on issues of personnel policy in law enforcement bodies. Head of presidential administration Sergei Naryshkin was appointed chairman of the new body.
