South Ossetia may join Russian Federation

South Ossetia may join the Russian Federation, the head of Russia's Republic of North Ossetia Taymuraz Mamsurov believes, RIA Novosti cites his press service as saying.

 "I'm certain that the people of South Ossetia will vote for entering into the Russian Federation, if such referendum is held. The people's will is evident," Mamsurov said.

Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin answering the question whether South Ossetia may enter into the Russian Federation has recently said it depends on the South Ossetian people's decision.
