Stavropol Territory gathers record harvest

The governor of Stavropol Territory, Valery Gayevsky, has had a
meeting with Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin and informed him
about a record harvest, RIA Novosti reports.


7.6 million tons of grain have been collected from 97% of fields. The
vegetable yield is expected to triple in three years. Putin said that
foreign partners have already expressed interest in grain.


Gayevsky said that the region plans to increase annual milk production
by 120,000 tons and meat production by 175,000 tons in two years.
