Makhachkala renews special operation

The law-enforcers of Dagestan have renewed the special operation
against militants that had started in Makhachkala on Wednesday, RIA
Novosti reports.

The counter-terrorism regime was imposed on Wednesday at 15:15. A
group of militants was surrounded in a private house on Erpelinskaya
Street. The police say that the militants are hiding in the basement.

A citizen born in 1979 surrendered. Other militants refused to give up
and opened fire at 16:30.
