New protests, including the final one, were promised by the leader of the current protests in Armenia, Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan. He made a corresponding statement at a demonstration in Gyumri.
The “Tavush for the Motherland” movement will hold several more protests in the regions of the country before returning to Yerevan. The relevant plans were announced at a rally in Gyumri by the movement’s leader Bagrat Galstanyan.
According to him, after the capital of the Shirak region, representatives of the movement will travel to several more cities and then return to Yerevan. Galstanyan called on the audience to organize protests in his absence.
The protest leader also announced a large-scale and probably the last rally that will be soon organised.
On May 26, at one of the rallies, calling for the resignation of Nikol Pashinyan, Galstanyan announced his candidacy for the post of prime minister.
