Turkish Foreign Minister to make historic visit to China
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaOn Monday, the Turkish Foreign Minister will leave for China. Diplomatic sources of the republic reported this on June 2.
Hakan Fidan's three-day trip will take place at the invitation of his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi. This will be his first visit to China as the Foreign Minister.
The Turkish minister is expected to hold a series of meetings with Chinese officials. In particular, he will talk with two vice presidents - Han Zheng and Chen Wenqing.
In addition to this, Fidan will visit Urumqi and Kashgar on June 4-5. The last time a high-level representative of the republic came to the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region was in the spring of 2012. That trip was made by the current President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who held the post of Prime Minister at that time.
