Georgia, Armenia consider hosting World Cup

Armenia and Georgia are planning to host the 2029 FIFA World Youth Championship. Today, the football federations of the two countries submitted an application.
Georgia and Armenia will bid to host the Under-20 Football World Cup in 2029. The relevant decision was announced at the presentation of the bid in Yerevan.
The event took place today, and was attended by the heads of the football federations of the two states, Levan Kobiashvili and Armen Melibekyan.
It is noted that the presidents entered into a cooperation agreement and also exchanged T-shirts of the national teams of Georgia and Armenia.
Kobiashvili called the football tournament a very important project. He emphasized that Georgia and Armenia have experience in holding such competitions.
