Criminal case on mass riots initiated in Armenia

The Investigative Committee of Armenia initiated a criminal case into mass unrest, which resulted today in protests near the parliament in Yerevan. It is clarified that the demonstrators used force against the police.
A criminal case was promptly opened in Armenia due to mass unrest, the Investigative Committee of the Republic informs.
“Participants in the protest, disobeying the lawful demands of police officers, started mass riots that threaten public safety,”
– the Investigative Committee reported.
According to the Investigative Committee, demonstrators used force against police officers. In particular, security forces were beaten, various objects were thrown at them. The Ministry of Health reported about 30 people that sought medical attention.
