Armenian Ambassador to Belarus Razmik Khumaryan has been summoned to Yerevan for consultations, the Armenian Foreign Ministry's press service reported.

"The Armenian ambassador to Belarus has been summoned to Yerevan for consultations," the statement reads.

Earlier, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said that neither he nor other officials of the country will visit Belarus as long as Alexander Lukashenko is president there.

The statement came after the President of Belarus publicly spoke about his conversation with Azerbaijani leader Ilham Aliyev in the run-up to the Second Karabakh War.

"I remembered our conversation before the war, before your battle for freedom, when we were talking philosophically at lunch together. Then we came to the conclusion that a war can be won. It is important," Lukashenko said.
