Armenia asks EU to share its business experience

Today, employees of the World Bank and a business delegation of the European Union visited Yerevan. Sharing of the European experience in creating an effective and business-friendly environment was discussed.
According to the Ministry of Economy of Armenia, a meeting was held in Yerevan between Minister Gevorg Papoyan, employees of the World Bank and the business delegation of the European Union. The topic of the meeting was the working conditions for Western investors and entrepreneurs in the republic.
Armenian officials emphasized that they intend to focus on European standards for shaping the business environment, and therefore are interested in receiving professional experience in this area.
“Bringing the legislative framework in line with international standards and modernizing the state register of legal entities is very important for creating a favorable investment environment. In this matter, we expect effective discussions and exchange of experience,”
