The north-south navigation in Türkiye's Dardanelles Strait was stopped for several hours this afternoon due to a stuck tanker. At this moment, the strait is unblocked, ships cross it in both directions without obstacles.
The Turkish Ministry of Transport announced the resumption of full-fledged shipping through the Dardanelles Strait, which was previously partially blocked in the north-south direction by a tanker that broke down in the middle of the strait.
“Shipping in the Dardanelles Strait, which was suspended due to a ship breakdown, is now open in both directions.”
