Russian Ambassador to Baku receives order from Vladimir Putin

The head of the Russian diplomatic mission in Baku, Mikhail Evdokimov, was nominated by presidential decree to the Order of Alexander Nevsky for diplomatic successes.
According to the official decree of Russian President Vladimir Putin, Moscow's diplomatic representative in Baku, Mikhail Evdokimov, was decorated with the Order of Alexander Nevsky.
“For his great contribution to the implementation of the foreign policy of the Russian Federation and many years of conscientious diplomatic service, award Mikhail Nikolaevich Evdokimov with the Order of Alexander Nevsky,”
- the decree of the President of the Russian Federation reads.
Evdokimov has been representing Russia in Azerbaijan for a year - he was appointed to the ambassadorial position in June last year. Previously, he headed the 1st CIS Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
