ATOR speaks on price sensation in Turkish hotels
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaAccording to ATOR Vice-President Taras Kobishchanov, tour operators note unprecedented thing for for the Turkish tourism sector. Hotel owners made July-August prices lower than they were in June.
The point is a sharp drop in the number of people wishing to go on vacation to Türkiye in the summer at the same prices. If the demand in June was even above average, then there were unexpectedly few hotel room reservations for July and August. As a result, in order to save sales, the hotel business is offering to check into Turkish hotels cheaper than in May-June. Kobishchanov described this situation as "nonsense".
Taras Kobishchanov also clarified how much a holiday in Türkiye now costs, depending on the number of stars at the hotel, RIA Novosti writes. Two vacationers can spend 10 nights in a simpler 4-star hotel for about 150 thousand rubles. In 4-star hotels with better service, this price increases to about 235 thousand rubles. Elite 5-star hotels are asking about 330 thousand for the same period and the same number of people.
The Vice-President of ATOR added that due to the rise in the dollar exchange rate, Russians may not notice a decrease in prices in Turkish hotels.
