Tokayev condemns terrorist attacks in Dagestan

Russian leader Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with his Kazakh counterpart Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the Kremlin press service reports.

The President of the Republic of Kazakhstan expressed condolences in connection with the militant attacks on Derbent and Makhachkala, which left 19 people dead.

The Russian President expressed gratitude to Tokayev for his support. The leaders of the countries emphasized their readiness to deepen anti-terrorism cooperation.

In addition to this, Putin told Tokayev about his recent trips to North Korea and Vietnam. The Presidents also discussed bilateral cooperation.

In conclusion, the leaders of the two countries agreed to continue contacts, including at the SCO summit in Astana in July.
