Yerevan will not be able to combine participation in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and the European Union, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Overchuk said.

According to him, the EU and the EAEU are incompatible. The official noted that the entry of some extra-regional actors to Armenia will have certain consequences.

"We are interested in a stable Armenia, good trade relations, good brotherly relations," Overchuk said.

Earlier, answering to the question of what year he would like to see Armenia joining the EU at the Copenhagen Democracy Summit, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said “this year.”
