Eurasian Development Bank ready to work with Baku, Ankara

The Eurasian Development Bank agrees to begin investing in enterprises in Azerbaijan and Türkiye if these countries express a desire to become participants in its financial activities, head of the EDB Nikolay Podguzov said.
Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Development Bank Nikolay Podguzov, while in Almaty, spoke about the financial institution’s readiness to work with Azerbaijani and Turkish enterprises. He emphasized that the EDB is constantly considering the possibilities of expanding the number of partner countries, and the potential links with Azerbaijan and Türkiye is in the bank’s interests.
The EDB is currently working with enterprises of the EAEU countries that are its shareholders - Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan. However, Nikolay Podguzov noted that the EDB will soon begin investing in the economy of Uzbekistan - the expansion procedures are scheduled to be completed by the end of 2024.
