Türkiye increases Sakarya gas production
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaTürkiye's daily natural gas production from the Sakarya field in the Black Sea has reached 5.5 million cubic meters, Turkish Energy and Natural Resources Minister Alparslan Bayraktar said.
According to him, the current production volumes allow providing natural gas to 2.4 million subscribers.
"The daily output in this field is expected to climb to 6 million cubic meters in August. We aim for achieving 10 million at the start of 2025,” Bayraktar said.
The minister emphasized that the western regions of the Black Sea are prioritized in terms of deposits.
"We plan to start drilling off the coasts of the provinces of Kastamonu, Sakarya, Sinop, and Rize," Bayraktar said.
