Ilham Aliyev takes part in Zangilan tanker's commissioning ceremony
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaThe Azerbaijani President, Ilham Aliyev, attended the commissioning ceremony of the "Zangilan" tanker. It was built by Baku Shipyard LLC by order of Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company CJSC.
The shipyard in Baku produced four tankers in total, Zangilan being one of them. It is planned that it will transport oil and chemical products.
Its uniqueness lies in its unusual design and wide technical capabilities. The length of the vessel is 141 m, its width is 16.9 m and height is 6 m. It is capable of speeds of more than 9 knots and can accommodate 15 crew members. Among other things, it has six cargo tanks with a total capacity of 9.2 thousand cubic meters.
Technical features allow the "Zangilan" to sail into shallow-water ports of the Caspian Sea and transport cargo outside it with maximum performance.
