People die after pumping station explosion in Volgograd

Two people died as a result of an explosion at a pumping station in Volgograd. Rescue operations are continuing. A criminal case has been initiated.

The tragedy that occurred in Volgograd claimed the lives of two people. An explosion at the pumping station happened during welding work. The building could not withstand the blast wave and collapsed on the workers. There are people under the rubble. Rescuers are conducting an operation to search for them.

 “At the time of the incident, there were employees of the organization on the territory of the station, the bodies of two of them were found. The exact number of victims is being established,”

– the press service of the Investigative Committee for the region informed.

The emergency occurred as a result of violations during welding work. The investigation into the incident is ongoing and the perpetrators of the tragedy are being identified. A criminal case has already been initiated.
