Armenia, US to hold joint military drills

On July 15- 24, the armies of Armenia and the United States will conduct military drills on Armenian territory. According to the Ministry of Defense of the Republic, the purpose of the exercise is to practice an implementation of peacekeeping tasks.

The military drills of the Armenian Army and the US Armed Forces are starting in Armenia. According to the Armenian Ministry of Defense, the purpose of the maneuvers is to implement peacekeeping tasks in the context of agreements between countries in conflict.

The military personnel will practice coordinating the forces of peacekeeping contingents and exchange experience in the field of strategy and tactics. In addition, it is planned to increase the combat readiness of the host country.

“In preparation for participation in international peacekeeping missions, joint Armenian-American Eagle Partner 24 drills will be held in Armenia on July 15-24. Military personnel from the peacekeeping brigade of the Armenian Armed Forces, the US Army Europe and Africa, and the Kansas Army National Guard will take part in the drills,”

– the Ministry of Defense of Armenia informs.
