The former Minister of Education of Armenia will be under arrest for at least another three months. This decision has been made at today's meeting by the Anti-Corruption Court of the Republic.

Armen Ashotyan's lawyers asked to transfer their client to house arrest and offered a bail of 40 million drams (over $100 thousand) under personal guarantees of famous public figures, but the court did not grant their request.

Let us remind you that the former minister became involved in a case of theft of a large sum of money from Yerevan Medical University. The former Minister of Education himself has repeatedly stated that he is being persecuted for his political activities
