Ministry of Health: 16 people with botulism remain in intensive care
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaMore than 30 people continue to receive treatment for botulism in Russian medical institutions, Assistant to the Head of the Russian Ministry of Health Alexey Kuznetsov said today.
"Currently, 31 adult patients with botulism remain in hospitals, of which 16 people are in intensive care units, including eight patients on mechanical ventilation",
Kuznetsov said.
The outbreak of the disease occurred in mid-June. Hundreds of people consumed dangerous ready-made salads. About 400 people fell ill with botulism as a result. Two deaths of patients with botulism have been registered.
