Pezeshkian refers to Russia as Iran's strategic ally

According to the new president, his administration will remain committed to expanding and enhancing cooperation with Moscow.
"I will continue to prioritize bilateral and multilateral cooperation with Russia, particularly within frameworks such as BRICS, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and Eurasian Economic Union," Pezeshkian said.
The Iranian president-elect stressed the importance of developing relations with China.
He noted that Tehran looks forward to collaborating more extensively with Beijing as they advance towards a new global order.
Moreover, Pezeshkian expressed Tehran's committment to fostering mutually beneficial relations with the Global South, especially with African nations and Latin America.
