Türkiye to stop fighting against PKK in Iraq, Syria

The President of Türkiye told young Turkish officers about the approaching finale of military operations against the PKK in the territories of Iraq and Syria. He emphasized that the cross-border threats of Kurdish terrorism have been virtually neutralized.
Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, addressing graduates of the Defense University, spoke about plans to stop the military operation in the territories of Iraq adjacent to the republic, which has been going on for 5 years.
Erdoğan stressed that the Kurdistan Workers' Party, considered a terrorist group in Türkiye, has been almost completely neutralized in Iraq, which allows the military operation to be completed.
In addition, he promised to stop active actions against the PKK in the border Syrian territories for the same reason: the situation there under full control of the Turkish military.
