United States announces comprehensive rapprochement with Armenia

Armenia’s geopolitical shift to the West is in full swing: in the coming days, the US Deputy Secretary of State will arrive in Yerevan to coordinate measures to bring Yerevan closer to Washington.
US Deputy Secretary of State Uzra Zeya, who is responsible for human rights and democracy at the State Department, on the eve of her visit to Yerevan, spoke about Washington’s desire for comprehensive rapprochement with Armenia.
She explained that the American authorities are interested in much closer contacts both with the government of Nikol Pashinyan and with non-governmental organizations operating in Armenia, as well as any representatives of civil society.
She announced the development of democracy in Armenia, ensuring victory over corrupt officials in the republic and reforming judicial records as the official goals of such rapprochement.
