6 militants killed in Dagestan - 1

Six militants have been killed in Dagestan, spokesman for the National
Counter-Terrorism Committee, Nikolai Sintsov, said, ITAR-TASS reports.

He added that two servicemen were killed in the operation.

An operation was held near the village of Toturbiykala in Dagestan's
Khasavyurt District on August 15. The militant base consisted of 8
tents for 20 people. A major arms and explosives cache was found.

Dagestan started a counter-terrorism operation at 21:00 on August 16.
A militant group was located on August 17.
