Russian pipeline gas exports to EU up 24%
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaRussian natural gas exports via pipelines to the European Union countries have jumped by 24% in the first half of the year from the same period in 2023, according to a report published by the Gas Exporting Countries Forum.
At the same time, total gas consumption in the EU decreased by 4.1% over the six months to164 billion cubic meters.
In June, energy demand in Spain fell by 20%, in Italy by 9.9%, in France by 5.3%. Meanwhile, Germany last month increased gas consumption by 7.6%.
The occupancy rate of natural gas storages in the EU has exceeded 80%.
