Yerevan hit by earthquake

An earthquake has been registered in Armenia today, the Seismic Protection Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the republic reports.

The hypocenter of the natural phenomenon lay at a depth of 10 km and was located 16 km south of Yerevan. The strength at the epicenter was 3–4 points, while its magnitude was 2.7.

According to the report, the tremors were felt in the Armenian capital with a magnitude of 3–4 points. They could also be felt by residents of the Ararat region. The magnitude was 2–4 points there.

There was no damage or casualties as a result of the earthquake.
