Russia and Iran to develop telecommunication projects together

The Russian Minister for Communications, Igor Shyogolev, and the head
of the Bureau for Technological Cooperation of the Iranian
Presidential Administration, Hamid Reza Amirinia, have discussed
establishment of a fund for support of joint telecommunications
projects in Moscow on August 16, Iran News reports.

The formation of a working group was proposed to negotiate details of the project on the
fund.

The officials also discussed development of 3G and 4G communication
technologie , digital television, fiber-optic cables and IPTV
technologies. Special attention was paid to information security.
