US recognizes 'Khvanchkara' and 'Kindzmarauli' as Georgian brends

The United States has officially recognized 'Khvanchkara' and 'Kindzmarauli' wines as Georgia brends. Several years ago businessmen Yevgeny Dozortsev managed to registered 'Khvanchkara' and 'Kindzmarauli' trade marks so that Georgia was unable to sell these sorts of wine in the US.

Eventually the Georgian party pursued Dozortsev to renounce his claims.
