The owner of FC Pyunik Artur Soghomonyan said he decided to put the club up for sale.

According to him, the reason is the ongoing harassment by the leadership of the Armenian Football Federation for more than two years. He noted the situation has long gone beyond common sense and professional ethics, turning into a personal confrontation.

Soghomonyan stresssed it causes great damage to the team, the fans and our academy, and most importantly, to the reputation of Armenian football.

The FC owner noted that he will continue to invest in the club's Children and Youth Academy.

"I am not going to leave Armenian sport and will continue investing, as I believe that the development of sport is very important for our republic. I am ready to return to Armenian football when the leadership of the Federation is changed and people who will be really interested in the development of football will come to lead it," Soghomonyan said.
