Georgia proposes reconciliation with Abkhazia and South Ossetia at UN

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze addressed citizens of Abkhazia and South Ossetia in his address at the ongoing 79th session of the UN General Assembly.

"Whatever actions we take are done to help our people so that one day, with our children, we can live together in one happy, united, and developed Georgia," Irakli Kobakhidze said.

The PM explained how Georgia's territorial integrity can be restored. According to the official, the path to it involves mutual forgiveness.

"We have to rebuild all the broken bridges in our country," Irakli Kobakhidze said.

After his speech, Kobakhidze spoke with Georgian journalists, stating that restoring Georgia’s territorial integrity is Tbilisi's main goal. The Georgia PM emphasized that the path to the peaceful restoration of Georgia’s territorial integrity involves “mutual forgiveness” and “mutual reconciliation.”
