Spokesman of the Russian Foreign Ministry said that the contract on
S-300 with Iran cannot be fulfilled, ITAR-TASS reports.

The contract cannot be fulfilled due to Resolution 1929 of the UN
Security Council and the President's Decree 1154 of September 22,
2010.

The Russian Foreign Ministry commented on the message of Tehran suing
Russia at the International Court for refusal to ship S-300 complexes.

Iranian Ambassador to Moscow Mahmoud Reza Sajadi said that the S-300
is not affected by the UN resolution.

The Resolution 1929 was passed in June 2010 to limit arms shipments to
Iran, including missiles, tanks and vessels. A contract on S-300
shipments was signed in 2008. It was worth hundreds of millions of
dollars. Russian President Dmitry Medvedev signed a decree to halt the
shipment.

Head of Rosoboronexport, Anatoly Isaykin, said on June 20 that talks
can be renewed when the UN sanctions are lifted.
