NATO commander in Europe visits Georgia

on a two-day visit to Georgia, Georgian Defense Minister Bacho
Akhalaya said, Trend reports.
Stavridis will discuss Georgian efforts within the ISAF in
Afghanistan. He praised Georgia for enforcing security in Afghanistan.
The admiral also thanked Akhalaya for support.
Afghanistan has about 900 Georgian servicemen at the zone of US and
French responsibility. The number of Georgian troops will increase to
1500 in 2012. 8 Georgian servicemen have died and up to 20 were
wounded in the operation.
