Armenia approves sheep breeding plan

Armenia approved a sheep breeding plan today. Agriculture Minister
Sergo Karapetyan said that the plan will improve sheep productivity,
Arka reports.


Armenia produces 420,000-450,000 lambs annually, about 220,000-230,000
are exported.


Armenia expects 531,000 lambs in 2011. The program will increase the
figure to 1.5 million by 2020. About 46,500 tons of mutton will be
exported.
