Dagestan to receive 4 billion rubles for education modernization

Dagestan will receive 4 billion rubles to modernize its education
system in the next 2 academic years, Russian Minister for Education
and Science Andrey Fursenko said, RIA Novosti reports.

About a billion rubles will be issued in 2011. A total of 120 billion
rubles will be spent on the modernization of the regions. Part of the
funds will be spent on an increase in wages for teachers.

Dagestani Leader Magomedsalam Magomedov said that teachers' wages will
increase by 30% and reach an average of 10,530 rubles.
