Foreign officials congratulate new Georgia’s President

Mikheil Kavelashvili, the newly elected sixth Georgian President, received congratulations from foreign officials.

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev was the first to congratulate Kavelashvili on his election.

“I believe we will make joint efforts to further strengthen and expand our interstate relations and strategic partnership, ensuring the well-being of our countries and peoples, the stability and security of our region, and the realisation of its economic potential," Ilham Aliyev said.

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan also congratulated Mikheil Kavelashvili on his election as the President of Georgia.

“Armenia looks forward to strengthening our strategic partnership and advancing cooperation across all levels. I warmly congratulate Mikheil Kavelashvili on his election as President of Georgia," Nikol Pashinyan said.

Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko said he was “convinced that the resumption of fruitful and constructive cooperation between our countries will contribute to further strengthening of the bilateral relations”, wishing Kavelashvili “strong health, successful implementation of plans and new achievements for the benefit of your homeland”.

Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić wished for the newly elected Georgian President to “perform the honourable and responsible duties ahead of you successfully and wisely”.

"I am convinced that our countries will continue to develop friendly relations and that joint efforts toward peace, stability, and cooperation will remain a priority in our bilateral relations, further strengthened by mutual support in the international political arena," Aleksandar Vučić said.

The Serbian President also invited Kavelashvili to visit Serbia.
