Deputy interior minister appointed in Ingushetia

Dagestani-born Valentin Ivanov has been appointed deputy minister of internal affairs of Ingushetia, RIA Dagestan cites a source in the Ingush law-enforcement agencies.

52-year old Ivanov was born in Makhachkala and graduated from Dagestani State University. He previously served as head of the inter-regional cooperation department at the Rostov Region office of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs.
