Dagestan to have day off for Uraza-Bayram

the main feasts marked after Ramadan, RIA Novosti reports.
Dagestani Chairman of Government Magomed Abdulayev made the feast a
day off. Chechnya will have days off on August 31 and September 1-2 ,
and Ingushetia on August 30-31 and September 1.
Ramadan is one of the most important months for Muslims and involves
fasting. Fasting is in force from sunrise to sunset. This year Ramadan
started on August 1. Id Ul-Fitr (Uraza-Bayram) concludes Ramadan. It
is the second main feast, involving sacrifices and a pilgrimage to
Mecca.
