900 kg of drugs seized in North Caucasus in 2011

Law enforcement bodies in the North Caucasus have seized more than 900 kg of drugs since the beginning of 2011. Most of them - 526 kg - were seized in the Stavropol Territory and Dagestan – 145 kg, the head of the national drug control committee in the North Caucasus Federal District, Igor Gorkov said, RIA Novosti reports.

 

700 kg of marijuana was seized and 112 kg of poppy straw. 256 criminal cases were initiated, which are connected with crack houses.
