Explosion at chemical plant in Uzbekistan leaves 1 dead and 11 injured

An explosion occurred at the large Navoiazot chemical plant, which led to a fire, the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Uzbekistan reported.

10 firefighting crews were deployed to extinguish the flames. Police officers also arrived at the scene and launched an investigation.

One person was killed in the incident, while 11 others sustained various injuries.
