Iran and Iraq discuss regional state-of-affairs

Iran's parliamentary speaker, Ali Larijani, and his Iraqi counterpart, Osama al-Nujaifi, discussed issues of mutual interest in a telephone conversation, Press TV reports.

Expansion of Tehran-Baghdad relations and important regional issues were major topics of their conversation on Wednesday.

The Iranian parliamentary speaker also invited his Iraqi counterpart to visit Iran in the near future, which was accepted by al-Nujaifi.

Al-Nujaifi also said Iraq attached great importance to expansion of relations with Iran.
