Iranian cleric urges action on economy

Senior Iranian cleric Hojjatoleslam Kazem Seddiqi has urged the government to make a greater effort to improve the people's welfare and economic state, Press TV reports.

"The Islamic establishment must be concerned about people's welfare," Hojjatoleslam Seddiqi said on Friday.

The cleric praised the efforts made by the government, but said more must be done to promote the quality of life in the country.
