Armenian currency slumps

The US Dollar grew by 2.76 points or 0.75 percent on NASDAQ OMX Armenia stock exchange on Friday. The exchange rate is now Armenian dram 370 per $1, News.am reports.

Sales constituted $2.85 million. It was the sharpest fluctuation registered in the market throughout 2011. September depreciation of dram was predictable, the news agency informs. The factors that strengthened dram in summer months - harvesting, influx of tourists and the eve of the new school year get gradually neutralized.
