Georgia will seek the return of the Melodia hotel in central Moscow by
diplomatic means, Deputy Foreign Minister Nino Kalandadze said today,
Trend reports.

Kalandadze said that the hotel in the center of Moscow was illegally
taken away from Georgia in 2006 and will soon be put up for an
auction. She also noted that this incident violates the Vienna
Convention. However, Georgia will try to solve this problem first by
diplomatic means, Kalandadze said.

The Hotel Melodia is located in Skatertny street in downtown Moscow.
Until October 2006, this building served as the guest house at the
Embassy of Georgia.
