March in support of arrested opposition leader in Yerevan

Young activists of the opposition Armenian National Congress (ANC) held on Monday rally in defense in Yerevan in support of opposition activist Tigran Arakelyan, in custody on charges of hooliganism and violence against government’s representative, News-Armenia reports.

"Our demand to the authorities is an immediate release of Tigran Arakelyan," - told reporters a young ANC activist, Areg Gevorgyan.

Gevorgyan said that young ANC activists intend to show consistency and fight till the end to secure the release of Tigran Arakelyana, adding that similar marches will be held regularly.
