Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili and Prime Minister of Moldova
Vladimir Filat have discussed integration with the European Union in
Krynica, Trend reports.

The sides met within the framework of the International Economic
Forum. They discussed improvement of cooperation and development of a
common plan to speed up integration in European structures.

Saakashvili and Filat believe that such a plan may be discussed at a
summit of the Eastern Partnership program participants in Warsaw in
late September. They agreed to expand trade-economic cooperation,
establish new enterprises and realize joint tourism projects.

Filat thanked Georgia for humanitarian aid during the floods in
Moldova in mid-2010.

The officials underlined the need to create an intergovernmental
Georgian-Moldavian commission for trade-economic cooperation,
organization of national exhibitions, activation of the process of
opening of enterprises and realization of joint projects in tourism
and other spheres.
