USA lifts sanctions from Russian organizations accused of helping Iran
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaThe presidential administration of the United States has lifted the sanctions against three Russian organizations, earlier accused of cooperating with the Iranian nuclear weapons project. Sanctions against one ot herorganization, suspected of weapons trade with Syria, have also been lifted, RBK reports quoting Associated Press.
But the US state department is making no comment on this. Some experts think that this decision was made to persuade Russia to support the UN Security Council resolution on Iran.
Amongst others, sanctions were lifted from "Rosoboronexport", despite the fact that it has signed an agreement with Iran on delivery of S-300 air defence systems. No complex has yet been delivered, but Israel and the US are still insisting on full abolition of the contract.
Sanctions have been also lifted from the Tula construction bureau. This organization was going to deliver anti-tank missiles to Syria. In addition, sanctions have been lifted from the Moscow Institute of Aviation and the Mendeleev Institute of Chemical Technology.
