Russian Defense Ministry denies violation of Georgian airspace

Russian combat helicopters have not violated the Georgian airspace
border, spokesman for the Russian Defense Ministry Colonel Vladimir
Drik said, RIA Novosti reports.

The Georgian Foreign Ministry reported a border violation by three
Russian Mi-8 helicopters.

Drik clarified that planes and helicopters of the Russian Air Forces
are under strict control of the air authorities. Their movement is
monitored by control means and carried out according to the
international rules of airspace, the spokesman said.
